Raphael was the only resident of the tower, at the time Ulthred ex Mercere, Casipio ex Merinita, and Achmed ex Criamon arrived. Hence the rest of the magi suspect that he has all of the Gloriole Covenant library in his sanctum.

Has a burning hatred of wolves, which may be related to the fact that his occasional lover Sangaard Ex Tremere ex Tremere is theoretically married to Fabre ex Bjorner ex Bjorner the head of Mirabelle Covenant.
