Well, I was wrong, Frost isn't going to kill me quickly because of the Thing I Did. I suspect he is just going to make me kill myself. I have to admire the man's cunning and wide streak of sadism. It wasn't sufficient to have made me leave my comfortable life and learn a whole load iof Stuff That Should Not Be Known; he's saddled me with the other three.

Well now I am an Inquisitor so I suppose I should look into the wholeproblem of what we saw on Future Syntilla. 
Killing myself isn’t on my list of things to do so I suspect I should do something about the Slough before it becomes a necessity. Again.

On that front, our old suspects the Amaranthine Syndicate are on the move again and that worries me. Every time they have appeared there have been Slough i.e. Book, Nonesuch el al. 

Apparently two members/couriers/minions? are meeting in a restaurant here on Syntilla. Have asked Trick to go and check out the place with a view to watching the meeting/finding out what is going on. 
I can't concentrate on investigating the offworld traffic researching the Slough etc while Trick is in the office. Her attempt to develop a sociable side is more disturbing than some of the Lore books I have been studying.

Peace and quiet, now the other three are all out.  I can get some work done.

Just had a bizarre call from Trick; something about booking a table. I really don't want to know. Add that to the list of Things not to Ask like why in the Emperor's name Trick wants to be called Vada; What Happend to Cain that he was the Sole Survivor Of; Cain's Recipes for Bootpolish; What caused the dent in Xuriel's forehead etc.
